Jeff Kostuik is the General Manager of Verve Seed Solutions, a company formed in 2022 through a merger with Hemp Genetics International and Tritium T3H. With a strong background in applied research and a genuine connection to farming, Jeff brings real-life experience to the hemp industry. Passionate about hemp’s versatile applications, he actively contributes agronomy knowledge to Verve Seeds’ clients.
Jeff’s commitment extends beyond his managerial role. He collaborates with global producers and research affiliates, exploring hemp varieties’ performance in diverse conditions. His pride lies in fostering business relationships on local, national, and international levels. Additionally, Jeff is not only a seasoned hemp farmer but also a Select Grower with the Canadian Seed Growers Association (CSGA), adding a valuable layer of practical expertise to his insights.
Having served as the Manitoba provincial contact for hemp agronomy, Jeff led hemp research trials in Manitoba and contributed to national variety trials and minor use projects. A Certified Crop Advisor and member of the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists, Jeff holds a BGS from Athabasca University, graduating with distinction. His expertise is recognized in many publications, where he shares insights into the hemp industry. Jeff co-authored a chapter on hemp agronomy in the book “Industrial Hemp as a Modern Commodity Crop” and serves as a director of the CHTA, chairing the National Variety Trials, Minor Use committee, and the Seed and Grain committee for the Hemp Industries Association (HIA).
