The Alberta Hemp Alliance (AHA) is a non-profit association of stakeholders collaborating to create a strong, competitive and diversified Hemp Industry in Alberta.
We champion and facilitate market development and provide provincial networking, tools and resources for Alberta specifically.
Role of AHA
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
Championing Alberta, we provide the critical provincial networking, tools and resources that enable farmers, organizations and corporations to be successful and attract investment.
COMMUNITY
Building a diverse but collaborative community of like-minded individuals, businesses, and organizations we will facilitate the rapid growth of the Hemp industry in Alberta.
CONVENE
Working collaboratively with industry, government officials, and the scientific community to create and implement industrial hemp standards, certifications and regulations.
PROMOTE
Hemp is the second fastest growing plant on the planet, is a superfood, can produce 50,000 products, is bio-degradable, sequesters co2 and ch4 and produces superior manufactured products. Hemp will play a key role in building a green and diverse economy.
Our Mission
Bring together Alberta farmers, businesses, industries, and municipalities focused on hemp production, research, marketing, and trade provincially, nationally and internationally.
Support the cultivation, processing, and use of industrial hemp and its products.
Advocate for its member stakeholders at the provincial level. To support market development, industry commercialization, provincial and global exports.
Foster the development of markets and work with industry and affiliated organizations in Canada and abroad to address issues in the hemp industry.
Establish regular exchange of information between members and to co-operate with regional, national and international organizations and associations.
